Welcome to the JCA Circuits Custom Services & Repairs page! JCA Circuits has been designing and building our own unique custom amplifier circuits for guitar as well as HiFi audio for over 12 years! I consult with my clients on an individual basis regarding their specific tonal needs. JCA Circuits does not limit our clients with a short generic list of mods for their beloved amplifiers and musical instruments. I am able to offer a complete custom audio shop whose work ranges from simple component replacement, complete servicing, circuit restorations, as well as complete custom fabrication and design work. I can replace your power and bypass filters, properly install and bias your beloved XF2 Mullard EL-34's to perfection, completely rebuild your phase inverter for increased performance, or I can even completely design and fabricate an entire amplifier from the gound up specifically suited to your Artistic needs. The possibilities are literally endless. I will work on any major manufacturer or boutique vacuum tube amplifier brand available. The only caveat is that it is not cost effective to our clients to perform major assembly/disassembly work on PCB [Printed Circuit Board] amplifiers. For these major types of jobs, you are always better off sending the amplifier back to the manufacturer. I will, however, always be able to accommodate less complex mechanical repairs and vacuum tube installation/biasing operations on PCB types of amplifiers.

The following rates apply to any and all repairs, service, restoration, and modification work. For your reference, most minor to moderate work usually takes less than 1 hour to diagnose and repair. More complicated jobs can obviously take longer. 

Repair/Service/Restoration/Mods Rates

Shipping an amplifier to JCA Circuits for modification/repair/service/restoration work: Usually it is more cost effective to ship just the chassis to us in the case of combo amplifiers. Just remove the chassis from the cabinet, neatly package all vacuum tubes, cords and other items separately, and package the amplifier chassis in plenty of bubble wrap/shipping paper. PLEASE DO NOT USE PACKING PEANUTS WHEN PACKAGING YOUR AMPLIFIER! These are a real mess and get into places they shouldn't. Please call or email us ahead of time before sending us your amplifier. I will return ship your amplifier using your original shipping container via UPS Ground Service unless you make prior arrangements.
