FOR SALE is my personal 18 Watt 1974X Replica in Black Levant Tolex that I built for myself a few years ago. This is the sickest and most versatile 18 Watter you will likely ever hear. Far and above what you normally see available through other builders hanging out on the information superhighway. Basically, it is an 18 Watt done right. This is a fairly aggressively voiced amp with more headroom than the originals, a crunchier yet sweeter distortion than any original, and far more reliable than any other 18 Watt whether "boutique" built or original. I need to make room in the shop for new and exciting projects. This firebreather features a 12" Celestion Vintage 30 speaker, Heyboer "Radio Spares" replica power and output transformers, 2 Watt sealed PEC pots, Angela ceramic/silver sockets, Angela paper in oil and Mallory 150 series coupling caps, NKK brand heavy duty switches, cloth covered wire, G-10 circuit board with plated eyelets, ELNA Cerafine and Sprague ATOM filtering and bypass caps, carbon composition resistors, and as icing on the cake, an Armadillo Amp Works cabinet. The amplifier utilizes an EZ-81 rectifier tube, a pair of EL-84's, and a trio of 12AX7's. There are no solid state devices in this amplifier.
