MOGEL'S BREW
Kenn Mogel and his amazing new band Mogel's Brew have stunned and wowed
audiences along the East Coast since forming last year. This amazing group
of artists have single-handedly transformed Electronica, Jazz, Funk, Jam,
and Rock styles into a front to be reckoned with. They recently released
their first album, "Isn't Real". Mogel's Brew features Chelsea ViaCava on
Vocals, Dan Myers on Drums, Mitch Beer on Bass, Karl Reiders on Rhodes,
and Kenn Mogel on Guitar, Vocals, Rhodes, Hammond, Moog.
Not a week goes by that Kenn doesn't call to inform me of how impressed he
is with his JCA Circuits GR 1.6 "Golden Ratio" amplifier in Black
Levant/Alnico Tone Tubby 1X12 I built for him earlier this year. Kenn has
been my biggest ambassador because of his enthusiasm and faith in my
products. He often speaks volumes of how thrilled he is that this amazing,
exceptional quality instrument allows him to freely explore his Art and
create his finest work. Kenn also has one of the most enviable sources of
talent at his disposal and can really make a guitar GO! I am proud to call
Kenn my friend.

LOTUS
Mike Rempel and his incredibly talented band Lotus have dazzled and
wowed every venue they have played throughout Japan and the US with
their own unique blend of innovative talent. Lotus is an instrumental
style which would appeal to almost anybody who loves music. I have been
blown away since first hearing their album "Nomad" which was released
in 2004. Lotus consists of Steve Clemens on Drums, Jesse Miller on Bass,
Luke Miller on Guitar & Keyboards, Chuck Morris on Acoustic & Electric
Percussion, and Mike Rempel on Guitar.
Mike recently came to my
shop to audition my 18 Watt replica I built for myself a few years ago.
Mike used to use a Reissue Twin Reverb until it got destroyed in an auto
accident recently. Mike was impressed with the clarity and dynamics I
was able to achieve with my own tweaks on the 18 Watt circuit and so
replaced his Twin with my 18 Watt combo. At first, Mike knew it was a
totally different animal, and though he fell in love right there, he was
not quite sure whether the amp would work perfectly for the Band's
style. Almost immediately, I was informed that Mike and the rest of the
band have been incredibly happy with the amplifier. It has turned out
that the circuitry I employed in this design has unleashed a new wave of
creativity and purpose in his music. This is what I live for...

BIG BLUE SPRUCE /
DIVINE LORAINE Paul Miller, formerly of the local Philly band Divine Loraine, has
started another project recently called Big Blue Spruce. Paul uses a
Purpleheart Head designed around the EL-34 tube. I built only three of
these for myself and he wound up with one of them. Paul and I used to
work at the same company and quickly became friends. Paul is a brilliant
Geologist with a passion for playing music. He is also one of the most
down to earth guys I have come across. Paul's good nature and melodic
playing are always pleasurable to be around. Paul's amp has a
Purpleheart cabinet, Bubinga faceplate and valence with an Ebony JCA
inlay. He has used the amplifier for countless gigs, and it has never
once let him down. Paul replaced a 100 Watt JCM 900 with my 38 Watt
EL-34 design. As he puts it, mine is way louder, crunchier, and has far
better reliability. The feel factor is also second to none."
